Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 27 July 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Six Yards Strong website and your registration for or participation in any run or activity ("Event") organised by Six Yards Strong ("we", "us", "our"). By registering for or participating in an Event, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
- Six Yards Strong is a women-only run. Registration and participation on the route are open to women only. Family and friends of all genders are warmly welcome as spectators and supporters in the designated zones.
- Participants must be at least 15 years of age on event day, or meet the higher minimum age stated for their chosen category, whichever applies.
- Participants under 18 must register with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on the participant's behalf.
- By registering, you confirm that all details provided — including name, age, contact and emergency contact details — are accurate and complete.
2. Dress code — the six yards
- Wearing a saree is mandatory for all participants. You may drape it in any style (Nivi, Madisar, half-saree, athletic drape or your own) and in any fabric you are comfortable moving in.
- For your own safety, please secure your drape properly with safety pins, avoid a trailing pallu or hem that could cause you or others to trip, and wear proper running or walking shoes. Leggings or an equivalent under-layer are strongly recommended.
- Event officials may ask a participant to adjust an unsafe drape or footwear before flag-off, or may decline participation where a safety risk cannot be resolved.
3. Health & safety
- You confirm that you are medically and physically fit to take part, and that you have disclosed any condition relevant to your participation.
- It is your responsibility to consult a doctor before undertaking any physical activity. Participation is entirely at your own risk.
- You agree to stop immediately and inform an event official, marshal or volunteer if you feel unwell or unsafe at any point.
- We may provide or arrange first-aid or medical assistance where we consider it necessary, and you consent to such assistance being given.
- We may stop or disqualify any participant whose continued participation, in our reasonable judgement, poses a health or injury risk to herself or others.
4. Registration, fees & Bib collection
- All registrations are subject to availability and are confirmed only after successful payment. Payments are processed by our payment gateway (Razorpay).
- Registration fees, once paid, are non-refundable and non-transferable to another person or another event, except as expressly set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- A single booking may cover multiple participants. Each participant must have her own complete details and receives her own Bib (Non timed) and registration pass.
- Bib and kit collection details will be communicated by email. You must carry your registration pass and a valid photo ID for collection.
- Your Bib is personal to you. Running under another participant's Bib, or allowing another person to use yours, will result in disqualification without refund.
- Optional add-ons purchased at checkout (such as merchandise or contributions to a nominated cause) are subject to the same non-refundable terms unless stated otherwise.
- We reserve the right to decline or cancel any registration, including where we suspect fraud, duplicate entry or a breach of these Terms.
5. Event format
Our distances are short, inclusive and untimed celebration runs — you may walk, jog or run at your own pace. No official timing, ranking or prize placement is provided unless expressly announced for a specific Event. Finisher medals, refreshments and route amenities are provided as described on the relevant event page.
6. Event cancellation or modification
We reserve the right to cancel, postpone or modify an Event — including its date, venue, route, categories, distances or start time — for reasons beyond our reasonable control, including weather, air quality, natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic, civic disruption, or directions from the police or any government authority.
Where an Event is changed or cancelled, participants may be offered alternative options such as a deferral or credit. Refunds are not guaranteed and are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7. Liability waiver
By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with the activity, including risks arising from physical exertion, road and route conditions, weather, and the actions of other participants or third parties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless Six Yards Strong, its organisers, employees, volunteers, sponsors and partners from any liability, claim, damage or expense arising from injury, illness, loss of property or death in connection with the Event, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
8. Code of conduct
Participants agree to:
- Treat fellow participants, volunteers, marshals, staff and the public with respect.
- Follow all event rules and the instructions of event officials and marshals.
- Stay on the marked route and avoid any action that could endanger or obstruct others.
- Refrain from the use of performance-enhancing drugs or any prohibited substance, and from participating under the influence of alcohol.
- Refrain from unauthorised commercial activity, canvassing or distribution of promotional material at the venue.
Breach of the above may result in disqualification or removal from the Event without refund.
9. Photography & media consent
By participating, you consent to being photographed, filmed or recorded at the Event by us or our appointed partners, and to those materials being used for promotional and archival purposes — including social media, our website, print and advertising — without compensation or rights of approval. If you would prefer not to be featured, write to us at info@sixyardsstrong.in and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request in material we control.
10. Data usage
Personal information collected during registration is used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By registering, you consent to receiving Event-related communications, updates and logistics information by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
11. Intellectual property
All content relating to the Event — including the Six Yards Strong name, logos, branding, route maps, website material, photographs and promotional content — belongs to us or our licensors. You may not use or reproduce any of it without our prior written permission.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your registration applies to that registration. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka.
