What to expect

Six Yards Strong comes to Coimbatore for a women-only saree run down the city's iconic Race Course Road — a joyful celebration of strength, fitness, culture and community. Choose the 1.5 KM Fun Run or the 3 KM Celebration Run, drape your saree your way, and run alongside thousands of women. Every participant receives an official BIB, a finisher's medal and post-run refreshments, on a safely marshalled route with hydration and medical support throughout.

The course

Route & support

A flat, spectator-lined loop along Coimbatore's landmark Race Course Road, fully closed to traffic for the morning. Hydration and medical support along the course, music, a warm-up fitness session, photo zones and a finish-line celebration for every distance.

Frequently asked questions

Is the event only for women?

Yes. Six Yards Strong is a women-only saree run — participants of all ages (15+), backgrounds and fitness levels are welcome. Male family and friends are welcome to cheer from the spectator zones.

Is wearing a saree mandatory?

Yes — the saree is the spirit of the event! Drape it in any style you like (Nivi, Madisar, half-saree, athletic drape or your own way) and in any fabric that feels comfortable to move in. Cotton and lightweight handlooms are popular choices.

Do I have to run, or can I walk?

Completely your choice. Walk it, jog it, run it or dance down the route — the 1.5 KM and 3 KM distances are both untimed, celebratory runs. Finishing is what counts.

What is included in my registration?

Every participant receives a Bib (Non timed), a finisher's medal and an e-Certificate issued after the race, with hydration points, medical support, music and photo zones along the fully marshalled Race Course Road route.

What time does the run start?

The event flags off early morning to beat the heat. Exact reporting and flag-off times, along with parking and route details, will be emailed to all registered participants before event day.

Where do I collect the Bib?

Your BIB and event kit must be collected before the event starts. Collection details, including the date, time, and venue, will be shared with registered participants before the event.

Is there a minimum age to participate?

Yes — participants must be at least 15 years old on event day for both distances, as listed under each category.

Can I register for my friends or family?

Yes! One booking can include multiple participants — add each runner's details during registration and pay in a single checkout. Each participant gets her own Bib and pass.

What if I can't make it — can I get a refund or transfer?

Registrations are non-transferable between events. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy (linked in the footer) — please email info@sixyardsstrong.in with your booking reference for any request.
